We’re excited to announce seven committees for CBSMUN 2025! Beginners can explore refugee issues in UNHCR or discuss global health in WHO. Intermediate delegates will tackle economic challenges in ECOSOC or take on international security in DISEC. Advanced participants can navigate complex conflicts in the UNSC or explore economic policies in the World Bank. Finally, for those with an investigative flair, the International Press Corps will provide a platform to cover it all, open to all levels with a preference for prior experience.

The World Health Organization (WHO) committee stands at the forefront of global health diplomacy. It addresses critical health issues from pandemics to healthcare equity. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) committee discusses the many challenges faced by refugees and displaced populations worldwide. Participants will engage in debates and negotiations to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for pressing humanitarian crises. This committee operates on a beginners level and welcomes all those, who are specifically interested in human rights and international law.

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is at the heart of the UN system's work on economic, social, and environmental issues. It is also concerned with finding solutions on topics such as youth empowerment, digital cooperation, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. TOPIC: "Improving Economic Access for Indigenous Communities"

DISEC, also known as the General Assembly’s first committee, focuses on international peace and security, specifically addressing disarmament, the regulation of new weapon technology and challenges to global security. From nuclear non-proliferation to the regulation of arms trade, this committee discusses some of the most pressing and complex security issues currently facing the world. DISEC is perfect for delegates with a profound interest in international security, offering a blend of technical knowledge and geopolitical strategy in a balanced, accessible debate setting for both less experienced and more experienced delegates alike.
At CBSMUN 2025, DISEC will be historical and set in 1983.

You will be thinking on your feet, adapting to the flow of debate and influencing the outcome. Don’t forget that the press also has comedy columns which can address the happenings outside of the debate. Your news will be published throughout the committee sessions and can lead to the uncovering of improper foreign policy or interesting alliances.
