GET TO & AROUND COPENHAGEN WITH EASE

GETTING TO COPENHAGEN

FLYING IN?

CPH airport is well-connected with the rest of the world and is located just on the outskirts of Copenhagen.

There is a metro station connected to the airport, serviced by the M2 line that goes to CBS and central Copenhagen. It takes around 25 minutes to get from the airport to CBS (Frederiksberg St.)

If you are flying, the CPH airport app and website are easy to navigate and highly useful for keeping track of check-in times and counters, security wait time, gates, and more.

TAKING THE TRAIN?

In the middle of Copenhagen there is the Central train station (KBH H) with direct connections to Germany & Sweden.

To get to CBS from there, switch to the metro line M3 going towards Frederiksberg. It takes around 10 minutes to get to CBS (Frederiksberg St)

The Danish train provider is DSB so if you plan to take the train to Copenhagen, we recommend checking out DSB at dsb.dk for tickets, planning and any potential maintenance or delays that could affact your journey

GETTING AROUND COPENHAGEN

Copenhagen has an extensive public transport system with buses, the S-train, and the metro, which is divided into zones. A ticket can be used on all forms of public transport within the purchased zones and time the ticket is active.

For most participants, a ticket with two zones, zones 1 & 2, will be sufficient as that covers the entirety of central Copenhagen. To get to and from the airport, an additional zone (Zone 4) is necessary.

Tickets can be bought at the station at machines and in 7/11s or in the app "Rejsebillet".

Travel costs can add up rapidly, so it can be worthwhile to get a small city pass, which allows for traveling freely on all public transportation modes without worries within zones 1-4 and includes the airport. Passes can span from 1 to 5 days. Find out more here.

Copenhagen is very walkable, and no additional travel for the socials besides getting into the city center will be necessary.

We do not recommend attempting bikes unless you are an experienced city cyclist.

For most participants, the metro and walking will cover all their needs.

Main CBS station: Frederiksberg St.

Please refer to venues for more info on each CBS buildings closet station.
